CHITOSAN is a plant growth enhancer that is also used to boost the defensive ability of plants fighting fungal infection. CHITOSAN can enhance a plants ability to survive heat, cold and drought stress as well as the ability to grow with less water. Chitosan is a compound naturally found in crustacean shells and fungal cell walls, and can be very beneficial to plant production and growth. It enhances plant survival in times of heat or cold stress and drought. When foliar applied it allow the plant to grow with less water. It has been shown to accelerate growth and germination as well as improve the quality of flowers and fruit. If applied to produce it can help prolong shelf life and prevents early decay.
